What’s Inside
- San Diego Comic-Con: Marvel notably showed Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok; along with their slew of TV series. DC came in with a new trailer for Justice League as well as the revelation that the ultra successful Wonder Woman will be getting two sequels. We got a surprise look at Ready Player One with its cacophony of pop culture and gaming icons. More of Kingsman 2, Stranger things, et al. The trailer for the new Call of Duty: WWII Zombies took us by surprise and looks like it’s amped up the horror. What impressed and what fell flat?
- New Featured Segment: Deadliest Character: For our new segment debut we pit Katniss everdeen against Katniss Everdeen (Hunger games) versus a Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) survivor. Mark believes that Katniss would win the fight with on of the big deciders being her survival prowess. While John believes that the PUBG survivor would win because they are more geared up for battle and guns > bows. Vote below on who you think would win!
- Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds: Selling an insane 5 million copies in 4 months, PUBG has reached heights that are unprecedented in an early-access game. It’s battle-royale gameplay pits you against up to 99 other players; While only allowing you a max of 4 in your squad. The game is incredibly addicting and has a weird balance between infuriating and satisfying that always keeps you coming back for more. Adding to that, the developers are constantly working it it. Most notably two new maps and a mantle/vaulting system for cover/objects.
